ZONE A/B Bag and Possession Limits
Daily Bag Limit: 3
Possession Limit: 6

  • A Federal Sandhill Crane Hunting Permit is required to hunt Sandhill Cranes, in addition to a valid Texas hunting license, Texas Miratory Game Bird Stamp Endorsement, and HIP Certification.
  • A Federal Migratory Bird Hunting and Conservation Stamp ("Duck Stamp") is NOT required to hunt Sandhill Cranes.
  • Sandhill Cranes MAY be taken with lead shot. However, Wildlife Management Areas and Federal Wildlife Refuges have special regulations requiring nontoxic shot for ALL game bird hunting, including Sandhill Cranes.
