Our 300 acre preserve is located 5 miles up Tenaha Creek from Lake Toledo Bend and 4 miles from Shelbyville. Our duck hunts are done on the back waters of Toledo Bend on old beaver ponds that at the present time have acorns, pecans and other mast falling into them. Your prices sound great, I wish you where closer to south Texas. I could see myself doing a couple of those "helluva hunts"

Don't let a few miles deter you. Free lodging will offset the prices of your gasoline. I would move my operation a little closer to south Texas but if nature isn't trying to stick something in you it has got something trying to bite you down there. Had a quail hunter last weekend compare my fields to wheat stubble in Kansas. Said it was the best fields that he has hunted since leaving Kansas.
