QUESTION

I heard a sound that I know came from a deer and it sounded like a large crane making the noise.  Has anyone every experienced this?  The deer was runnig and calling out.  This happened on 10-17-08 at about 7:30 in the day.  Thanks...

Most of the time a doe is running and calling like that it's about her fawn.  But without being there and hearing it, I wouldn't know for sure.

I have also seen a yearling even good size squal out for their mother when desperatly trying to find them.
