Labrador Point Kennels and Hunting Preserve is offering hog hunts. Hunts go from 12 pm to 12 pm the next day. Hunts are done from blinds over feeders, over grained trails with night vision equipment and with dogs. We always offer free lodging for our hunters. Price is $50.00 per person for 2-4 hunters. Our fields are in the Tenaha Creek bottom and Toledo Bend Lake off CR 2335 and bordering Sabine National Forest. Of our 300 acre bird hunting preserve 100 acres has been rooted up. This field is where the hogs winter at. After deer season is over we will begin running them with dogs. If you are tired of coming home meatless give us a call. We will put you on pigs. The first picture is of a hunt on 12/8/08 and was shot at midnight at 10 yds. A dozen pigs were passed up to shoot this 150 lb sow. When cleaned she had over 2 inches of fat all over her body. The other picture is of some young duck hunters on 11/30/08 who took a young boar coming in from a duck hunt. Between the ducks, quail, pheasants, chukar and pig they went home with a cooler full of meat. When I return from the preserve I will post pictures of their favorite night time haunt. Give us a call at 936-590-9178 or 936-332-0189 to book your hunt.
