This is T Boon Pickens 68,000 acre hunting ranch in Roberts county in the Texas Panhandle. There are over 1000 quail feeders. He has over 50 dogs with 4 full time employees to take care of them. Unbelievable Whitetails and as you can tell by the lake a little bit of fishing. Oil is not doing to bad or wind energy. I do not think I will have to worry about having that kind of money any time soon.

Pickens also bought some land several years ago in King County, east of Lubbock near a town called Guthrie.  If I remember correctly it was in the neighborhood of 50,000 to 100,000 acres.  The land was a portion of the 6666 ranch that the family that currently owns it for some reason didn't want any more (the ranch in its heyday was 366,000+ acres).  Pickens split the parcel up into 2,500 acre 'ranchettes'.

2,500 acres...some 'ranchette'.  As far as I know he sold every one.
