Man unless your wantin to pay an arm and a leg i would say go and get your public land permit..you can get it when you buy your license for 45 bucks...it gives you all kinds of places to hunt in texas..some dont even need a boat there are walk in hunt areas...this is what ive always done... dont get me wrong your gona have to learn some spots and go through plenty of days of watchin ducks fall into were you were thinkin about setin up but it will make you a better duck hunter and the reward of shootin a mess of ducks on public land is priceless!! giv it a shot

Ha i just saw you said mainly goose my bad..not to familiar with tha goose situation.. plan on goin around sealy for tha next  conservation season though..good prices and usually alot of birds..no limits
