Summary:
not illegal, you can shoot any non-game or non-native species at night, for example, coyote, bobcat, hog, axis, fallow, sika, any ram other than Desert Big Horn (which has other restrictions also.) You can not shoot animals like whitetail, pronghorn, mule, turkey, dove, quail, duck, geese at night. Summary: I lived about next door to Rochester for several years, near Knox City - the goose hunting in that are is just amazing, especially if you hunted the winter wheat or harvested peanut fields. Since there's an old COE lake just north of the Brazos, which is near Rochester, at night time you would often see geese from horizon-to-horizon as they came off to feed.
