Ducks Landing on Frozen Lake

Ducks Landing on Frozen Lake
Summary: This is great!  Ducks coming in for a frozen runway landing.

Baby alligators are hatching now

Baby alligators are hatching now
Summary: I grew up duck hunting JD Murphee, and my family had some land right down the road from there on Keith Lake.  I sure do miss that old swamp.

West Texas Goose Hunt

West Texas Goose Hunt
Summary: I lived about next door to Rochester for several years, near Knox City - the goose hunting in that are is just amazing, especially if you hunted the winter wheat or harvested peanut fields.  Since there's an old COE lake just north of the Brazos, which is near Rochester, at night time you would often see geese from horizon-to-horizon as they came off to feed.

Girl vs Fish vs Poodle = Fun

Girl vs Fish vs Poodle = Fun
Summary:

Funny! That poodle probably knows that "poodle" came from the French word "puddel" (spelling?) or in English, "puddle". Poodles were originally bred as hunting dogs for puddle ducks.

He reminds me of an English Setter that we once had. He loved the water and would stay in the lake all day whenever we were there. One day while we were at the lodge, one of the patrons said, "Did you know that your dog catches fish?" I did not believe him, but then he pointed out to the dam and there he was. He would see bream on their beds in shallow water and grab them. Don't have any pictures, wish I did.
