Summary: I took these two pro's duck hunting with me the last week of the season. They both shoot that Mossberg Bantam in a .20 ga. (A great youth gun), and I was impressed not only with their shooting, but their ability to sit still and wait on the shot. Both of these boys are going to grow into great waterfowlers. Oh yeah, that's my dog Laverne hamming it up with them.

Summary: We all piled up in the trucks for a snow goose hunt in Eagle Lake, Tx. Well, you can tell who shoots better by the number of birds each hunter is holding. My friend Craig Courson (in camo on the left) and myself (in camo on the right) put on a shooting clinic for our hosts during the hunt.

Summary: Laverne brings in a nice Ringneck drake. Overall, Laverne has been disappointed with our shooting this year, and is grateful for any opportunities to fetch a duck!

Summary: This is a Ringneck drake. The Ringneck is not a good eating duck, but is a fast flyer that makes for good shooting. A good looking duck in its own right.

Summary: My son Bobby shooting ducks this morning. He just fired and is ejecting a shell. If you look closely, you can see the spent shell casing. He killed a green wing teal on that shot.

Summary: I'll take credit for some of that good shooting. I have the 2 pintails on the end in the freezer waiting to be taken to the taxidermist.

Summary: We could approach to about 50 yards of the geese with me crawling with a tumbleweed in front and my golden retriever/Lab cross named Duchess hiding behind me. You had to pick a single bird and aim for a very small kill zone, so, do you think it is fair to shoot a goose at 50 to 70 yards walking around on the ground instead of a wing shooting? I had a couple fly around 200 yards before coming down. It is an exhilarating feeling to see your arrow dangling from a goose you just shot.
