Snow Geese

Snow Geese
Summary: We could approach to about 50 yards of the geese with me crawling with a tumbleweed in front and my golden retriever/Lab cross named Duchess hiding behind me. You had to pick a single bird and aim for a very small kill zone, so, do you think it is fair to shoot a goose at 50 to 70 yards walking around on the ground instead of a wing shooting? I had a couple fly around 200 yards before coming down. It is an exhilarating feeling to see your arrow dangling from a goose you just shot.

Eurasian Collared Closeup

Eurasian Collared Closeup

not many.  I'm usually in a deer stand when the few we get come through.  I built a water blind the other day though.  I'll see if I can get some.  I'll post a Blue Wing and a Black Bellied Whistling Duck next week.
