First Buck
Category: Native Animal

My son, Drew, shot his first buck, a typical 10 pointer, in Franklin County, Texas.  Shot the day after Thanksgiving at 7:30 in the morning.  As if he wasn't already hooked for life!

Where in Franklin county do you hunt? We are on the White Oak Bottom and have not had much luck.  That is an awesome buck with great mass for the area, and especially awesome being his first!  Good Job young man!

We're on 2 different tracts of land in Hagansport.  One that is on the Sulphur River and one that is a mile or so south of the river.  Deer activity is just starting to pick up in the last couple of weeks... especially on the tract on the river.  Over half of that tract is under water but it's made for some exciting duck hunting for the duck hunters on our lease.
