The Stansel Brothers, Kirk, Guy and Bobby (Terry’s stepsons), began their fishing & hunting careers as teenagers right here under the watchful eye of Terry. Twenty-five years later they are among the most respected fishermen and hunters in the country and now own and operate Hackberry Rod and Gun.

Located in the small southwest Louisiana town of Hackberry it has become the SPECKLED TROUT CAPITAL OF THE WORLD know for Big speckled trout, redfish and lots of them. Located 2 ½ hours from Houston and 3 ½ hours from New Orleans it is an easy drive down I-10.

The vast marshes surrounding Hackberry and Lake Calcasieu are like a magnet for waterfowl coming down from both the Central and Mississippi flyways. The waterways surrounding them provide world-class fishing for Redfish and Speckled Trout.
